Rest Your Head, Enter Your Heart

Here we are. In the eye of the storm.

As I sat down to write this post, that is the image that came to mind. Of being in the centre of shifting weather. The kind of weather that cleanses the old, throws things up to the Universe and washes things anew. No matter if your regular happenings have shifted a little or a lot during this time of year, the festive season
is a period of endings, beginnings and movement.

This past week swooshed in; the solstice, the end of the Mayan calendar, the arrival of its new cycle, Christmas Eve and Christmas which marks the first day of the twelve days of Christmas. Whether you have kept quiet, spent time with family and friends, stuck to your daily routines or set off on holidays ~ an abundance of rituals, feasts and festivities have been had around the world since Friday. The coming days will usher in more celebrations with; a full moon, the end of our Gregorian calendar, the beginning of its new cycle, Orthodox Christmas Eve and Epiphany which marks the last day of the twelve days of Christmas.

Right now we are in the pause. In the middle of the holy-days.

Breathe it in. Open to the gifts 2012 has given you, even if they arrived in different packaging to what you anticipated or imagined. As this year draws to a close, know that you are exactly where you are meant to be, even if it isn't where you thought you would be. Find the centre in your now. Your full presence in the present moment will help you access your next step forward. Invite in your highest potential, even if you feel unsure what that might be or where it might take you.

As we approach the new year, take a moment in the coming days to rest your head, enter your heart space and ask yourself, "What new dream seeds do I wish to nourish, nurture and bring to manifest in 2013?". You are worthy of your wishes, dreams and desires. That's why you have them.

Happy holidays, Jelena x

p.s. This divine sleeping buddha was at my local cafe. Kalvin would have been in the pic too, but he was a little immersed in his soy chai latte. It's one of his merriments in life, which he says you don't need a reason or a season to gift to yourself. Speaking of merry things, Kalvin says now is a brilliant time to remind the self what the festive season is all about. Love, peace, joy and kindness. The kind of presents that can't be wrapped or brought. It's because they are within you. Kalvin says whether you extend these to yourself or give and receive them with others, these are presents that are amplified ten-fold when shared with your wholehearted presence. He loves this time of year. The opening of presents always reminds him that you never know what ah-mazing things you will find when you open up to your own presence. Because you of course, are a gift.
